WSFS CARES Foundation Contributes $50,000 during Camp Out for Hunger
With a surge in food insecurity, the WSFS CARES Foundation continued its mission to support our communities through a $50,000 donation to Philabundance as part of Preston & Steve’s Camp Out For Hunger on WMMR radio.

Shari Kruzinski, Executive Vice President and Chief Consumer Banking Officer, Justin Dunn, Senior Vice President, Chief Community Impact Officer, and Bernard Shields, Executive Vice President, Pennsylvania Market President, joined the radio team on stage on November 13, marking WSFS’ eighth year participating in the event. This year’s donation came with fanfare in the form of a Magic 8 Ball, revealing the $50,000 donation.
“The WSFS Cares Foundation is dedicated to fighting hunger in our communities,” said Dunn. “As Camp Out for Hunger celebrates its 28th year on the air, we are proud to be a part of this event and support organizations like Philabundance.”
This donation is part of a larger $100,000 donation announced earlier this month to several area food banks including the Food Bank of South Jersey, Food Bank of Delaware, and the Chester County Food Bank.
In addition to the check presentation, Team WSFS volunteered by collecting food donations in the Xfinity Mobile Arena Parking Lot. In total, WSFS Associates have logged nearly 30,000 volunteer hours, reinforcing WSFS’ commitment to service.
WSFS Bank is also hosting its annual food drive to support Sharing Excess and the Sunday Breakfast Mission. For those looking to support, nonperishable food donations can be dropped off at any WSFS banking office location until the end of the year.
