What Is ATM Skimming?
A method used by criminals to capture data from the magnetic stripe on the back of a ebit or ATM card. ATMs are under siege more than ever from skimming. Skimming is where ATM thieves steal your card and PIN number(s) using remote devices. The skimming device used for ATM skimming is normally only installed for a few hours before the thieves remove it and extract the data it collected. A camera is often hidden on the ATM, installed on or near the ATM to record your PIN number as you enter it. The criminals then combine the PIN numbers obtained on the video with the stolen data to make online purchases or withdrawals at other ATMs using the bank card information.

We strongly recommend that you review your account statements thoroughly and notify us immediately should you notice any questionable charges. You may check your account transaction history by calling WSFS Customer Service at 1-888-WSFSBANK or through WSFS Online Banking & Bill Pay at wsfsbank.com. You can also sign up for debit card alerts to help monitor debit card activity.
