Q. Who qualifies for a personal loan?
A. Residents of Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia and Washington DC who meet other eligibility requirements.

Q. How can I use a personal loan?
A. Personal loans offer flexibility to pay for the things you planned for – and those you didn’t. You can use a personal loan to consolidate high-interest debt (credit cards), cover an unexpected medical bill, relocate, weddings, home improvements and more.

Q. Will checking my rate affect my credit score?
A. No – checking your rate will not impact your credit score.

Q. What is the difference between a loan and line of credit?
A. A loan is an amount of money that you borrow for a specified length of time. You will receive a one-time, lump sum that is then paid down with fixed monthly payments for the duration requested and agreed upon. A line of credit is a borrowing limit extended to you. The funds are available during the draw period up to the credit limit established. Monthly payment will be based upon the balance of the line of credit, and payments are variable and fluctuate with the Wall Street Journal Prime rate.

Q. Do I need collateral for a Personal Loan?
A. No unlike other types of loans, a Personal Loan from WSFS is unsecured, which means no collateral or equity in property is needed.

Q. What is APR?
A. APR, or Annual Percentage Rate, is a ratio of the cost to borrow money with an institution. This will show interest and other charges you’ll pay each year.

Q. What is the difference between principal and interest?
A. Principal in the original amount of money that you have borrowed. Interest is what the bank charges you to obtain the funds through their institution.

1 If you accept your loan by 5:00 pm ET (not including weekends or holidays), you will generally receive your funds the next business day. If accepted after 5:00 pm ET Monday-Friday or during the weekend or holidays, you will generally receive your funds two business days later.)

2 When you check your rate, we check your credit report. This initial (soft) inquiry will not affect your credit score. If you accept your rate and proceed with your application, we do another (hard) credit inquiry that will impact your credit score. If you take out a loan, repayment information will be reported to the credit bureaus.

Offer is subject to credit review and approval. Additional rates and terms are available.
